Privacy Policy

SureWake is an alarm clock app built around one promise: your alarm will ring. This page explains, in plain language, what information the app accesses on your device and how it's used.

1. Your alarm data stays on your device

Every alarm, label, repeat schedule, snooze setting, and goal you type into SureWake is stored locally on your phone only, in the app's private storage. We do not require an account, sign-up, or login. Nothing you type into SureWake — including any personal goals or notes — is transmitted to us or to any server. It never leaves your device.

2. Permissions we ask for, and why

• Exact alarm scheduling — so your alarm rings precisely at the time you set, not delayed by the system.
• Notifications — to display the ringing alarm screen and controls.
• Foreground service — to keep the alarm sound playing reliably while it rings.
• Vibration — for alarm vibration patterns.
• Run at startup (boot) — so your alarms are automatically rescheduled if your phone restarts.
• Phone state (optional) — used only to detect an incoming call so the alarm can briefly pause and resume afterward. This is checked in the moment and is never stored or sent anywhere.
• Battery optimization exemption — requested to make alarms more reliable on phones that aggressively restrict background apps. This is optional; SureWake works even if you decline it, though we recommend allowing it.

3. We don't share your data

SureWake does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. SureWake does not show ads.

4. Crash reporting

If SureWake ever adds crash reporting or basic analytics tools to help us fix bugs and improve reliability, any data collected would be limited to anonymous technical information (such as device model, Android version, and crash logs) — never the content of your alarms or goals. This policy will be updated first if that changes.

5. Children's privacy

SureWake is a general-purpose utility app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new effective date above.
